Stars, Planets, and the Meaning[FUL] Life (an article)
This short NPR article is from the summer, but this writer’s fist hand smack-in-the-face about the profoundness of the universe while attending a Keplar mission seminar rings true to me now more than ever.
I think even if you’re not a fan of SciFi shows, this will resonate with you.
And, I’ve tweaked the title in my post because while our knees may quiver at the thought of how LARGE existence actually is, I think it really makes the little things here on Earth all the more astounding and precious.
For those Doctor Who fans now weeping in their Sunday dinners, consider this a brief reminder not of the all the loss suffered (in the show, and in the course of human history), but of the bigger picture. Remember how The Doctor is filled with the urgency to run to each corner of the vast universe to see it all- before it’s gone.
Because, it’s all so very magical- whether you have a blue box to see it with……or a really strong telescope.
